The mind-body-spiritual aspects of the holistic arts have fascinated me from a young age. I spent a lot of time in my youth exploring different cultures, religions, and healing practices. I started studying and practicing yoga casually after the birth of my son in 1996, and have always known that one day I wanted to teach it as well. I have a natural ability to guide and counsel, and because of that I became a certified hypnotherapist in 2005. Helping clients release their inhibitions and negative habits, gain confidence, heal from their pasts, and move forward into a place of health and light. Because of this I recognize how important language is, and tend to guide my classes with an equal balance of nurturing and discipline. I have worked in the health care industry for 16 years, 10 of which were spent managing a holistic health center. I graduated from Yoga Sol’s 200 hr teacher training program in August of 2011, and have been teaching there ever since. Teaching yoga has brought me the inner balance I’ve been searching for my entire life, and it has become my passion to share that journey with my students. It is my goal with every class to keep students present in the moment, to cultivate a fun atmosphere, to challenge every practitioner to explore the depths of their physical and mental abilities, and to show them that yoga is for everybody at every level, health, age, and stage of life. I look forward to sharing my journey of yoga with you and hope to see you on the mat soon.
Wes Linch was introduced to Yoga and Eastern philosophy over 8 years ago in a desire to know more about himself. He quickly discovered the benefits of Yoga far exceed open hips. Wes is a Vinyasa Flow instructor, having received over 700 hours of training through Yogaworks and Yoga Sol. Wes focuses primarily on bridging the gap between breath, alignment, and awareness through movement. He aims to make the energy of the practice relevant on and off the mat by introducing traditional yogic teachings with a modern twist. His classes are fun, sweaty, challenging, full of great humor and heart.
Carolyn first found yoga when trying to get back into shape after having her third child in 2001. An on again off again relationship with her practice ensued due to the many competing priorities familiar to every working mother. However, in 2007 Carolyn had a boogie boarding accident and required significant surgery to replace ligaments in her shoulder which had been completely torn apart. Subsequent physical therapy only partially worked to regain full strength and mobility in her injured joint so Carolyn turned again to yoga. A few weeks of a dedicated Hot Yoga practice at Yoga Sol achieved fantastic results that surprised even her orthopedic surgeon and solidified her commitment to prioritizing her practice in her busy life. That commitment grew into a desire to achieve her certification to teach and share the potentially life changing benefits of yoga with others. Carolyn completed her certification in Vinyasa Flow and Yin in 2013 through Yoga Sol’s teacher training program and continues to teach at Yoga Sol. Carolyn’s philosophy is that anyone and everyone can enhance the quality of their life through yoga even if they cannot turn themselves into a pretzel.
As a professional dancer in the entertainment industry for 20 years, Renay was drawn to yoga as a healing tool to gain strength and mobility. While performing on a cruise ship in Florida, Renay obtained her 200hr yoga teacher training in Hot Power Vinyasa at The Yoga Society in Palm Beach. She taught weekly classes on the cruise ship and gained experience working with all levels. When she moved to Cape May, NJ, her calming attitude and professional approach lead her to quickly become a sought after teacher in the yoga scene. Grateful to now be a Bay Area Instructor, Renay is comfortable and experienced teaching Vinyasa, Hot Power, Yoga TRX, Yin, Gentle, and Restorative. She teaches with an open heart and attention to alignment. In her classes you will benefit from hands on adjustments and reminders of linking breathe with movement for an overall well rounded practice.
In 2010, Cyndi was coaxed into her first yoga class. She had hit a place in her life that felt “just too overwhelming”. The class challenged her physically and woke her up emotionally.
She then began to further her education by completing a 500 hour Yoga Teacher certification through Yoga Works. She was hooked and in 2017 began teaching locally.
"I believe that our yoga practice is a mirror to our everyday lives and can help us change our perspective if we learn to surrender and trust the process. In my classes I emphasize the importance of self-awareness, alignment, and personal growth. My teachings are lighthearted, playful, and educational with creative sequences that are ever evolving and changing, just as we are. I look forward to growing with you." ~Cyndi~
